Expressionism

Audrey was 12 years old when her mother took her to the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice, Italy and she was introduced to the works of Marc Chagall.  Immediately she was drawn to the colors and dreamy aspects of his works and became a life-long fan.

Audrey traveled extensively to Europe and South America with her family and was exposed to master works from a young age.  Her aesthetic was developed by admiring both the softness of the Impressionists and the angular geometry of artists like Kandinsky.

Her love of abstraction or focusing on micro aspects of art can be seen in her photographs and prints.  Largely self-taught, Audrey continues to develop other aspects of her art through more representational study in drawing and illustration.

neurodiversity

More recently Audrey has been educating herself on neurodiversity and has begun to explore the effects of color and patterns on those whose minds react to stimuli in a different manner.

She is now on the path to create works that can inspire and enliven or create calm through softer forms and tones.
